Diablo III User Interface

Quest popups cannot be turned off and stay there until you click them away, which is especially annoying in combat.

Cut scenes can only be skipped manually and not be turned off.

NPC conversation cannot be turned off and has to be skipped through manually with spacebar.

Instead of using checkpoints, there should be more waypoints which should function as 'checkpoints' to resurrect at. Players should also be able to choose where they want to resurrect with diablo 3 items.

There is little clarity on buffs and debuffs in the game with the exception of the buff icons. A succubus curse for instance appears as small red dots above the character, which is nearly invisible in most cases. It is also poorly visible whether or not a player is in range of a mantra (on their character).

The in-menu chat system feels lonely and joining a channel does not allow you to show off your character's avatar.

It should be possible to trade with another player without having to be in the same game, or at the very least just send them an item cross game so you do not have to leave and lose your nephalem buff.

The buff from a shrine should be more clear and should be different per shrine. It could be an orb circulating the character, and each shrine could give a different colored orb to allow for the stacking of variable shrines to function aesthetically.

Legendary diablo 3 items should not be colored brown, but gold.

Expanded tooltips for abilities should display all of the laws the ability obey instead of just the duration and the damage. It should also be possible to display the damage in numbers based on the currently equipped weapon to allow for a better choice by the player.

Damage as displayed in the UI is misleading as it is calculating too many chance factors such as critical strike chance into an absolute number. A flat damage number without chance would give a more fair impression of the state of the character's power.

Unlike other diablo 3 items as white crap, gems, artisan pages and books are of value to me. Why are they colored white - the color that triggers 'useless' in me (with the exception of tomes in inferno, which are blue)?
