SWTOR Legacy System Patch 1.2 Reviews

Star Wars: The Old Republic guild summit gave players a good idea of what to expect from patch 1.2. But just hearing about things like the new Legacy features and upcoming Operations isn't enough for everyone, which is no doubt part of the reason the development team has put together a trailer for all of the new features.

What Is SWTOR Legacy System
To put it simply, the SWTOR legacy system is a system which encourages players to make new characters. The developers have put the vast majority of their time and money into the swtor leveling experience, and want to encourage players to see all it has to offer.

As a result, they want players to try out different classes and both factions so that they can see all of the quests and swtor power leveling available in the game.

However, there is a firm divide amongst players: some love to make new characters all the time (alt-o-holics) whereas others only like to play a single character. There appears to be no single factor behind this, as there are both casual and hardcore players on both sides of the camp.

As a result, in order to entice those single-character people to try out more classes, the Star Wars The Old Republic Legacy system was developed.

SWTOR Legacy System Rewards
The idea behind the SWTOR legacy system is to encourage players to make new characters. In order to get players to do anything, they need to be given something in-game.

However, what will they be given? Well, we really are not quite yet sure, as the designers seem to be on the fence. One idea that seems to be a very likely reality is that players will unlock new races once they hit the level cap with the help of swtor power leveling.

SWTOR Legacy System Conclusion
On the surface, the Legacy system looks something a roleplayer might use to flesh out their characters’ storylines, and have their characters storyline intertwine with that of their alts–you’re able to set up a family tree with all of your characters with swtor powerleveling, regardless of whether they’re the same race or not.

That’s not all that the Legacy system has to offer, however. When you level up in the Legacy system, you’ll be able to unlock new abilities for your character that allow for, say, a Bounty Hunter to use Force Choke. BioWare made it sound in the video like these powers are more for fun than anything else, but it’s likely that you’ll get at least some utility out of these abilities.

Alt-aholics will get something out of the system as well, BioWare goes on to explain. For example, if you were to take a Zabrak to level 50, that race will be unlocked to play across all classes with swtor leveling–and even the opposite faction. If for some reason you ever wanted to play a Chiss Jedi, you’ll now be able to.
